Contemporary with the fitting out of the new Bauhaus buildings in Dessau, this fitting was developed by the metal workshop with a view to manufacture on an industrial scale. The ceiling light was used in the Master's House of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, the artistic director of the metal workshop from 1923 until 1928. The brass mount is nickel plated with a white opalescent glass shade. A pendant version is also available. Each lamp is consecutively numbered.
