New FLO colours for 2012

FLO reading light is the result of the first collaboration between specialist Italian lighting manufacturer Lumina and London based Foster+Partners. Its design is minimalist and a potential classic, with fine and precise detailing matched by the highest quality craftsmanship.
FLO has been selected by the British Business Embassy in Lancaster House in which the UK's top designers and artists have been invited to contribute in delivering a world class creative showcase. They will play host to some of the most globally influential business leaders during the Olympic and Paralympic Games
The intention from the outset was to develop a functional reading light that employs the latest dimmable LED technology incorporated into a simple flowing form.
The elegance of the light is achieved not only through its refined shape but also through the absence of extraneous moving parts such as coils and springs. The aluminium head is made using a cold-formed process and rotates through 300 degrees for direct task lighting. The switch is detailed neatly into the end. The stem rotates on a steel base that gives the lamp its weight and stability.
The 6W citizen LED module produces 475 lumens [3W for the smallest bedside version] and the LED module is interchangeable and can be upgraded.
