Each year the Elle Decoration family of 25 editions comes together to choose its favourite designs from the past twelve months.
The selection for best in lighting this year is 'Sampei' by Enzo Calabrese and Davide Groppi for Davide Groppi Lighting.
Sampei is a solution for those situations that require the drama of localised downlighting or an accent spot from high level but where either the ceiling is too high or the ceiling cannot be disturbed.
The adjustable light head, containing either a halogen reflector lamp or an LED, is mounted on a tall, flexible, fibreglass stem that reaches to a maximum height of 4.00 Metres. The stem sits on a metal weighted base with a pivot connection that allows further adjustment.
