VASARELY DISCONTINUED![]() A wall or ceiling fitting inspired by the work of the Graphic Artist Victor Vasarely. The softly moulded diffuser in laser formed polyamide is supported on a simple frame of the same material and uses the texture and form to play with light and shade. Victor Vasarely was born in Hungary in 1906 and is one of the first exponents of Optical Art or 'Op-Art'. His painting Zebra was created in the 1930's and is considered to be one of the earliest examples. Optical Art is a method of painting concerned with the interaction between illusion and the two dimensional picture plane giving the impression of movement, vibration, warping, and distortion.
