SPOKES PENDANT
The SPOKES pendant suspensions are forms reminiscent of an oriental lantern or bird cage and come in two shapes and colours. The spokes of the minimal open structures are formed in steel, varnished in epoxy powder and are attached at the top to a central 'hub' in ABS/ polycarbonate. Power is distributed through one of the spokes to the two LED boards that are housed discreetly within an aluminium disc in the base of the fitting, acting also as a heat-sink. One LED distributes light in a downward direction and the other illuminates the interior of the structure upwards and outwards creating a radial pattern of shadow onto the ceiling and wall. This results in a magical floating effect with the source of light not being immediately obvious.
