'A CSYS is the system of co-ordinates that defines an object's position in the X,Y and Z axis' This LED task light is a result of 6 years development by the Jake Dyson Studio and brings a refreshing new approach to the mechanical movement of adjustable task lighting. At the heart of the fiiting is an ingenious track and wheel system that allows smooth and precise vertical and horizontal adjustment in a single movement and with a 360 deg rotation at the base. The 8.8W high power warm white LED arrangement in the head is glare-free and creates a defined pool of light onto the working surface that can be concentated onto a specific task by vertical adjustment. Luminous efficiency 56 lm/W The fitting uses a copper 'Heat Pipe ' running along the length of the arm for efficient heat dissipation from the LED assembly, a vital requirement for maximum LED life and efficiency. Tests indicate that the LED lightsource should give a 160,000 hours working life equivalent to 12 hours a day for a staggering 37 years. There is a touch sensitive on/ off/ dim control on the base and the LED driver is in the plug-head. Materials are aluminium, steel, copper and polycarbonate. Family of products.
