BINIC![]() A small 'pick up and go' table lamp by this young french designer who graduated from L'Ecole de Design , Nantes Atlantique. The inspiration for the novel shape is a ventilation funnel as typically seen on older boats and sailing ships. The marine connections are continued in the name 'Binic' which is small fishing town on the North Brittany coast near St-Brieuc. The appeal lies in its small size, evocative shape and carefully chosen colour palette and it would be equally at home as a simple desk lamp or as a small lightsource by the bedside creating a small localised pool of light. Moulded ABS in six colours with a polycarbonate diffuser. Energy saving product.
