LE SOLEIL

A luminous sphere of layered bands of a polycarbonate material concealing the lighsource within yet allowing light to escape between them to create this glowing effect.  Reminiscent of architectural forms such as the Guggenheim in New York and possible inspiration from earlier Louis Poulsen and Alvar Aalto designs for lighting.

Illumination is directed upwards and downwards and the shade is suspended from a centre rose on a wire suspension.
